Art Workshops
Jane is an experienced art class facilitator, working both independently and for community arts organisations across the North of England.
Her teaching goals are:
- to introduce people to a broad range of art techniques and media (easily accessible at home for future art-making)
- improve practical skills and creative confidence
- encourage people to view art-making as a tool for nurturing personal wellbeing
- provide opportunities for connection to nature and companionship.
Jane’s sessions are designed to accommodate all types of learners in a friendly and supportive space - “Jane is really encouraging, very welcoming and lots fun!"

Art for the Terrified & Art for the not so Terrified classes covering a broad range of techniques and media; focussing on the elements (building blocks) and principles (how you put them together) of art.

Art & Soundbath Workshops
Autumn Equinox Creative Flow Art and Soundbath Wellbeing Workshop With Harmonistics Wellbeing at Craven Arts House, Skipton
Sunday 27th September 2026 10am to 12:30pm

Relaxing seated soundbath session followed by nature-inspired mixed-media art-making to encourage creative confidence and practical skills.
About your tutors: Melanie Simcoe (Harmonistics Wellbeing) and Jane Carlisle Bellerby have 20+ years experience working in mental health and creative fields respectively. They brought their practices together in 2024 to provide a space for people to experience deep relaxation prior to guided art-making sessions themed around nature to encourage creative confidence and positive wellbeing.
